Sheriff Ben Johnson’s Deputies report it was relatively quiet last month. I’m sure the cold weather slowed some of the crooks down, but there were still two home burglaries last month with 13 burglar alarms going off. Deputies have been holding down the speed on Ocean Shore with stepped up patrols since our seasonal traffic is up. Be especially careful of walkers and bike riders on the sidewalk as you come to the corner. We have about double the normal use of the sidewalk this time of year.
Real Estate Update: The very cold weather has slowed down everything this last month. There were 9 homes closed and 2 condominium. As cold as it is up north, when it begins to thaw, there should be a steady stream of buyers looking for a seasonal home. Realtors, better get plenty of rest. Sellers, now is the time to catch the wave.  Buyers, prices will be going higher. Al Weeks and Assoc. has specialized in Ormond by the Sea properties for 24 years and we know where the best values are. Call 441-8805 anytime to talk with our friendly staff.
